On September 19, 2017, at the 16th Machine Translation Summit held in Nagoya, Japan, Wu Hua, Chairman of the Baidu Technology Committee, presented the latest research results of Baidu Translation, and demonstrated this innovative shared Wi-Fi translator on the spot, which was praised by many technical experts from the machine translation academia, including Google and Microsoft. This translator is the world's first shared WiFi translator, jointly produced by Baidu and TUGE. Based on Baidu's artificial intelligence technologies such as voice recognition synthesis and neural network translation, as well as TUGE's self-developed global cloud communication patent technology, it can automatically recognize the language in English, Chinese and Japanese translation mode, and realize one-button real-time voice translation, making the translator really bid farewell to two key era.
